13.06.2007 - MAN TURBO AG of Oberhausen is building a production and service shop in the Wujin High-Tech Industrial Zone in the Chinese city of Changzhou, approximately 200 km west of Shanghai. The investment earmarked for the company’s first manufacturing plant outside Europe is 15 million euros. Two halls covering a total area of around 10,000 square metres will be constructed among other facilities on a site totalling 50,000 square metres. It is here that around 200 employees will produce basic turbomachinery components and assemble them together with other components supplied from Europe to form complete machine units. The projected capacity will also include service facilities.
